My background is equine teaching and in an unfortunate riding accident in 1994 I suffered a slipped disc.
It was during my recovery that I discovered Iyengar yoga. I was impressed at how I quickly started to reap the benefits of yoga. It relieved my pain and speeded up my recovery much more effectively than physiotherapy and medication combined. Iyengar yoga also helped me “bounce back” from the births of my two sets of twins.
These events were significant in my decision to become a yoga teacher as I soon realised I wanted to pass on the benefits of Iyengar yoga to others.
I regularly attend workshops with senior and international teachers to deepen my understanding and after successfully completing my teacher training I was delighted to qualify as an Introductory Iyengar yoga teacher in June 2017.
I sincerely believe that anyone, of any age and level of fitness, can benefit from yoga. It is great fun, relaxing and calming to boot!
