A warm welcome to Iyengar Yoga Manchester

Iyengar Yoga Manchester offers a range of general and specialist 'iYoga' classes suitable for people of all ages and abilities. Developed by Carolyn Ferguson, a highly experienced and qualified Iyengar yoga teacher based in South Manchester, iYoga sessions provide a warm, friendly and safe environment in which to improve your health, physical and emotional wellbeing. Classes are held at various locations in the Manchester area.

The Iyengar Yoga system was created by BKS Iyengar, one of the world's leading yoga teachers. Unlike other forms of yoga, Iyengar yoga is taught only by accredited teachers after years of rigorous training, and is based on a holistic approach to health that uses physical postures (asanas), precise alignment and breathing (pranayama) to rejuvenate the body and bring a sense of calm.

Iyengar yoga is challenging but not competitive. Every body is different; so Iyengar yoga works on every body in a different way, taking account of your abilities and needs. Whether you want to improve your general fitness or health, build stamina and strength, find some balance and calm in your stressful daily routine, or alleviate the symptoms of painful medical conditions, iYoga can help you.
